Vogelmoos Nature Reserve
Seasonal changes of fauna in a nature reserve
The disappearance of the leaves on the trees and the retraction of greens on the ground in late fall free the view on trees. It is easy to distinguish healthy trees from sicklish or dying and dead ones.
I am not always sure what I see. Is it the display of a late life cycle or the looks of trees withering by diseases? Is it the fingerprint of our changing climate?

These remnants will hardly be visible once nature picks up its pace of renewal, and the greens on the ground and the leaves in the trees bar the view on how it all ends.
