April 2023
The Coachella Valley is located in the greater area of Palm Springs, CA. It covers approximately 1700 km2. It has an arid landscape of desert quality. In April the temperature may reach 100° F (38° C) but the nights remain cool 60° F (15° C).
The sun rises at around 7.20 AM and sets at approximately 6.20 PM. As mentioned in the previous blog, this winter has brought a lot of rain and snow in higher regions. The mountain peaks are still covered with snow.
There was enough humidity in the soil to engender a particularly strong growth of plants.
Following a few impressions of the flora.

As of this writing, the end of spring is visible in those same spots and locations that were hitherto hosting the color champions. The valley will soon reassume its prevalent brown color and the temperatures above 100° F will impose careful planning of hikes on its beautiful trails.
